Accessibility Statement
The accessibility statement for the Human Rights Consortium.
What are we doing?
To help us make the Human Rights Consortium website a positive place for everyone, we’ve been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for disabled people, and user friendly for everyone.
The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA and AAA). We’ve chosen level AA as the target for the Human Rights Consortium website, but where possible we strive to hit many level AAA concerns as well.
How are we doing it?
We’re working hard to achieve our goal of level AA accessibility, but we realise there are some areas that still need improving. The following information explains what we’re doing to make that happen.
- 1.1.1: Non-text Content
Media content in news posts from before 2024 may not have a text based equivalent. - 1.2.1: Audio-only and Video-only (Prerecorded)
Video content in news posts from before 2024 may not have a text based equivalent. - 1.2.2: Captions (Prerecorded)
Video content in news posts from before 2024 may not have captions. Note that we cannot caption external videos not uploaded by the Human Rights Consortium. - 1.2.3: Audio Description or Media Alternative (Prerecorded)
Video content in news posts from before 2024 may not have a text based equivalent.
We are working through our archive of news posts to met these criteria across all our content.
